Untethered<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n
What was it like for those first aviators, as they invented their planes – elaborate handcrafted machines, taking months to build? There was always that first flight – running down a hill, or jumping off a cliff(!), with wings strapped on. Maybe starting up the engine – that enormous propeller and deafening roar. What bravery, what vision… what foolery! <\/span><\/h5>\n
It’s hard to imagine taking those risks, but I know the make-shifting, bootstraping part of it. <\/span><\/h5>\n
It’s amusing how little we know as we push through life, each one of us reinventing life’s wheel. You’d think by now we would all know: how to meet a lover, raise a child or\u00a0get along with others. But none of that comes with birth, we learn it by one leap after another.<\/span><\/h5>\n
